Failing at Wishing
If wishing could make it so then keeping a secret would change the past. It can't. It doesn't. So, the Manitoba boy who didn't tell anyone about shooting a pellet in his friend's eye and then brain with the pellet gun they just stole is still a murderer. And unnamed Isle of Jersey children who year's ago "committed suicides" that are now being reviewed likely had horrible lives kept secret, until soon.
